The Career and Family Coaching Institute is a uniquely designed 2-Gen initiative program of the OFECSN. The mission is to establish a career pathway for parents of Odyssey Preschool children in the field of Early Childhood Education and other professions while developing their literacy, leadership, language and workforce skills.
Program Overview

Early Childhood Education Track

Over five months, parent scholars receive 216 hours of mentorship from Head Teachers, hands on experience in classrooms and 54 hours of direct instruction in the OFECSN around early childhood regulations and S.T.E.M. professional development.

Parents enrolled in the program receive support towards earning their CDA credential*, receive a monthly stipend and their child’s preschool tuition is suspended during their time in the Institute.

Alternative Careers Track

The FEC will also support your interests in working in office administration or janitorial services. We offer parents the opportunity to shadow school staff and learn necessary skills – all while earning an extra $100 per month.

Information about the CDA: CDA stands for the Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential™, which is the most widely recognized credential in early childhood education (ECE) and is a key stepping stone on the path of career advancement in ECE.
