The South Norwalk Empowered Entrepreneurs Program

The South Norwalk Empowered Entrepreneurs Program aims to empower South Norwalk parents by building their entrepreneurial potential. We understand our parents may face unique barriers that get in the way of monetizing their dreams. We provide practical education, mentors, and resources to empower parents with the mindset of growth, learning, and success.

We are currently starting an entrepreneurial resource & training center to unearth small business potential. Our goal is to help them gain the confidence and knowledge to monetize their skills and passions into thriving side-hustles. Knowledgeable parents who can navigate the community, earn extra income, and be a role model can impart that energy to their children so they can academically succeed in and outside of home.

Requirements to join as a small business practitioner:

We are currently looking for small business owners or skill practitioners of color in and around South Norwalk, Connecticut to mentor our participants the basics of small business entrepreneurship. Apart from expertise, being able to understand the nuances of working-parent life is a critical trait. We want our parents to learn by putting themselves in your shoes, all while learning to believe in themselves.

1. Applicants must be either small-business owners or business skill-practitioners of color.

2. Applicant should be open to establishing a flexible and off-hours mentorship with our participants and providing knowledge through formal means.

Requirements to join as a participant:

1. Applicant must be eligible to work in the United States.

2. Applicant must complete an application.
